ARTE ESTROFLESSA
Si tratta di una forma artistica in bilico tra pittura e scultura che consiste nel creare un particolare effetto a sbalzo sul fronte del supporto pittorico ottenuto costruendo vere e proprie architetture in legno, o in altri materiali, in modo da creare sporgenze ed irregolarità sulla superficie.
SHAPED CANVASES
Where does the modern shaped canvases art begins? It starts spreading in Europe, especially in Great Britain with Richard Smith and in Italy with Castellani and Bonalumi, starting from the mid-’60s and can be ascribed to the neo-avantgarde of minimal art born in New York which goes by the name of Top Art.
It consists of an artistic form halfway between painting and sculpture which consists in creating a specific bump effect on the front of the canvas obtained building specifically wooden architectures, or with other materials, so to have protrusions and irregularities on the surface.
